About Us
Bellevue Playgroup is a friendly setting based in Bellevue Park in Wrexham. We have close links with the Local Nursery and Schools where the vast majority of our children move on to. We cater for a maximum of 32 children. We offer care and education for children aged 2 years to four years old. We are open for two and a half hours a day, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from 9.15 a.m. to 11.45 a.m. during term time. The Playgroup is registered with WPPA and CSSIW (Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales).
We offer Assisted Place Funding for families who are eligible. There is also funding available for parents who receive the Child Tax Element of the Tax Credits if they are below the income level and both Parents work 16 hours a week or more.
We Work in partnership with the parents/carers, and we offer children and parents/carers a service that promotes equality and values diversity. All staff are fully qualified, or working towards a qualification, and we have an exceptional team which includes a Manager,
Supervisor, Assistant Supervisor, and Playgroup Assistants. Bellevue Playgroup has been established for over forty years, and we provide a safe and stimulating environment for the children. We have the use of the Bellevue Park Facilities, which includes a Toddler Playground which is safe and enclosed.
Parents are welcome to participate in their child’s first few weeks at the Playgroup, and we find that this may help to settle their child. It is also to help support the Playgroup as they can help as a Rota Duty Parent. We are working hard with the Enhancement Provision, concentrating on our outdoor play. We are very lucky as we have been allocated a secure outdoor planting area at the side of the Playgroup Building. We have received a grant which has provided a unit to store all of our outdoor equipment. The children can plant vegetables and flowers as we have two large raised growth beds.
We pride ourselves on providing a full and enjoyable playgroup session for the children, so they will enjoy attending every day. We offer a daily routine which is also helping the children with their knowledge of structure, to ensure they are ready when they move up to the nearby Nursery settings.
We provide a good choice of learning activities and have purchased items which will build on their IT skills. These include Computer Tablets, Cameras, and a Camcorder. There are also several learning areas which are set up daily including the Cut and Paste area, Finding out Area, and Numbers area. The children always find something to keep them entertained, while learning at the same time.
